109 Years of Remembrance

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, the Worcester Armenian community gathered at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church for a solemn commemoration of the 109th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The event brought together clergy, parishioners, and community members in a spirit of prayer, remembrance, and unity.
The observance featured a joint service with participation from the Armenian churches of the Worcester area, including the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, the Armenian Church of the Martyrs, Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church, and Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church. Clergy from these parishes came together in the sanctuary to celebrate the Badarak and honor the memory of the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
Following the service, members of the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) delivered meaningful speeches reflecting on the importance of remembrance and the responsibility of each generation to preserve the history and legacy of the Armenian people.
The program also included special performances by the parish children, who presented songs under the supervision of Linda Bullock. Their participation added a heartfelt and uplifting element to the commemoration, reminding everyone of the importance of passing Armenian faith, heritage, and memory to future generations.
The commemoration concluded with fellowship and refreshments, offering members of the community an opportunity to gather together in remembrance, reflection, and solidarity as they honored the memory of those lost during the Armenian Genocide.
