His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, presided over the 91st anniversary celebration of Holy Trinity Church in Worcester, Massachusetts—a Sunday of worship and fellowship that reflected the parish’s enduring faith, service, and cultural witness.
The Divine Liturgy, coinciding with the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, was celebrated by the Prelate before a church filled with parishioners and guests. Faithful from Sourp Asdvadzadzin Church of Whitinsville joined the celebration, along with clergy from across the region. Con-celebrants included Very Rev. Fr. Hrant Tahanian, pastor of St. Stephen’s Church (Watertown), Archpriest Fr. Gomidas Baghsarian, and Archpriest Fr. Aram Stepanian. Rev. Fr. Stephan Baljian, pastor of St. Gregory Church of Merrimack Valley, and Rev. Fr. Tadeos Barseghyan, pastor of Our Savior Church of Worcester, also participated in the liturgy and the anniversary banquet.
A special highlight was the debut of the newly formed Youth Choir, whose prayerful voices enriched the service. During the liturgy, His Eminence ordained Armen Eghian and Gary Khatcherian to the ranks of deacon and sub-deacon, encouraging them in his homily to serve with humility and inspire others in their devotion to God. The celebration concluded with the Blessing of the Basil, a cherished tradition of the Holy Cross Feast.
At the banquet that followed, Board of Trustees Chairman Garo Bekiarian welcomed His Eminence, the clergy, members of the Executive Council, and the parish family, congratulating them on reaching this milestone and reaffirming the shared commitment that sustains parish life.
Very Rev. Fr. Ardag Arabian, pastor of Holy Trinity, expressed gratitude to the faithful for their dedication and generosity, noting both the parish’s spiritual vitality and recent improvements to the campus—among them the commissioning of twelve new icons, renovation of the church hall, and repair of the sanctuary roof. Special recognition was given to families whose stewardship made these projects possible.
In his closing message, Archbishop Anoushavan commended the community’s vigor and steadfast faith, urging them to look ahead with hope and perseverance. Quoting the Apostle, he encouraged all to “fight the good fight” for the glory of God and His Holy Church.
The weekend celebration wove together tradition and renewal: youthful voices joined seasoned servants, time-honored rites illuminated present-day commitments, and Worcester’s Holy Trinity once again shone as a beacon of Armenian faith and culture.
